Woman hurt in Lakeland Drive crash

WILLMAR — Irene Mellema, 29, of Willmar, was taken by private vehicle to receive medical attention after a two-vehicle crash around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday along the 1600 block of Lakeland Drive Southeast.

According to the crash report by Willmar Police, Mellema was driving southbound in a 2011 Chevy, lost control of the vehicle and collided with a 2011 Chevy driven northbound by Lynette Henjum, 60, of Willmar.

Arrest

WILLMAR — A 22-year-old man was arrested for six outstanding warrants, plus new charges of theft, false name to a peace officer and driving without a valid license, around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday. The theft was reported at Mel’s Corner, 19450 Highway 71 S.

Property damage

WILLMAR — Damage to a vehicle was reported around 4 p.m. Wednesday along the 400 block of Lakeland Drive Southeast.

Fraud

WILLMAR — The passing of a counterfeit bill was reported around 8:30 a.m. Thursday along the 700 block of First Street South.

Theft

LAKE LILLIAN — The theft of a fish house was reported around 10:50 a.m. Thursday along the 12000 block of Big Kandi Drive.
